Itel Power 80 Full Review

The Itel Power 80 is a budget smartphone built around one of the most important features for everyday users: long battery life. With a massive 7,000mAh battery, a smooth 120Hz display, rugged durability, and a modern Android 16-based software experience, the Power 80 is designed for users who want dependable performance without frequently reaching for a charger.

The phone comes with a 6.78-inch HD+ display, a Unisoc T7250 octa-core processor, up to 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. It also features a 50MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie camera. In Bangladesh, the official 6GB+128GB version is listed at ৳18,490.

Design & Display

The Itel Power 80 combines a practical design with a rugged construction aimed at users who want additional protection for everyday use. It is available in Tundra Green, Rock Black, and Lava Orange, giving the phone a distinctive appearance. Despite carrying a large battery, Itel has kept the thickness below 8.5mm according to its Bangladesh specifications, which is relatively slim for a 7,000mAh smartphone.

The phone features a large 6.78-inch HD+ display with a 720 × 1576-pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The HD+ resolution is understandable for a budget device, while the 120Hz refresh rate is useful for smoother scrolling, animations, social media browsing, and general navigation. The large screen also makes the Power 80 suitable for watching videos and consuming other multimedia content.

For durability, the Power 80 is advertised with IP68 and IP69 protection, 2-meter drop resistance, and MIL-STD-810H compliance. It also uses a cage-frame shockproof design. These features make durability one of the phone’s major selling points, although certification does not mean the device is completely immune to damage.

Performance

Under the hood, the Itel Power 80 is powered by the Unisoc T7250 octa-core processor, paired with Mali-G57 MP1 graphics. The Bangladesh specification page lists configurations with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage, while the official Bangladesh retail listing currently highlights the 6GB+128GB configuration.

The processor is aimed at basic and everyday smartphone tasks rather than high-end gaming. Users should be comfortable with activities such as calling, messaging, browsing websites, watching YouTube videos, using social media, and running common apps. Casual gaming should also be possible, although demanding games may require lower graphics settings.

The 120Hz screen can make the interface feel smoother, but buyers should not confuse a high refresh rate with high processing power. The Power 80 is primarily designed as a battery-focused budget smartphone rather than a performance-focused gaming device.

Camera

The Itel Power 80 comes with a 50MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The rear camera can record video at up to 1080p, making it suitable for everyday photography and basic video recording.

In good daylight, the 50MP main camera should be capable of producing useful photos for social media, documents, people, and everyday moments. However, users looking for advanced photography features or strong low-light performance should keep their expectations realistic because this is still an entry-level camera system.

The 8MP front camera is designed primarily for selfies and video calls. Overall, the camera setup is practical rather than photography-focused, with the large battery and rugged construction being much more prominent features of the Power 80.

Battery & Charging

Battery life is where the Itel Power 80 really stands out. It packs a 7,000mAh battery, which is considerably larger than what is commonly found in many mainstream smartphones. Combined with the HD+ display and entry-level processor, the large battery is designed to provide extended endurance for everyday use.

The phone supports 18W PowerCharge through USB Type-C. While 18W charging is not particularly fast by today’s standards, the large battery means charging from very low levels can still take some time. The trade-off is that users get a much larger battery capacity, which can be more useful for people who prioritize endurance over charging speed.

The Power 80 also supports reverse wired charging, allowing the phone to provide power to compatible devices when necessary.

Software Experience

The Itel Power 80 runs Android 16, with Itel’s software experience on top. The newer Android platform gives the phone access to current Android features while the device’s hardware is optimized toward everyday use.

The software experience is primarily focused on practicality and convenience. Features such as side-mounted fingerprint authentication, face unlock, and various outdoor-focused software functions add useful functionality to the phone.

Itel also lists features such as AI Rainproof Touch, Outdoor Enhanced features, and AI Adaptive Outdoor functionality. These are particularly relevant to users who spend time outdoors or use their phones in less-than-ideal conditions.

Durability & Extra Features

Durability is arguably one of the biggest highlights of the Itel Power 80. The phone offers IP68/IP69 protection, 2-meter drop resistance, and MIL-STD-810H compliance, making it considerably more ruggedly positioned than many conventional budget smartphones. Itel also uses a cage-frame shockproof design to improve protection against everyday impacts.

The phone also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C, infrared control, DTS sound effects, and a 3.5mm headphone jack according to the available product information. Itel additionally promotes UltraLink Free Call, which can support communication over distances of up to 2km under supported conditions.

These extra features make the Power 80 more versatile than a basic entry-level smartphone and reinforce its focus on outdoor and practical use.

Our Opinion

The Itel Power 80 is clearly designed around battery life and durability rather than raw performance. Its 7,000mAh battery is the biggest attraction, while the 120Hz display gives the phone a smoother everyday experience. The IP68/IP69 protection and drop-resistance features are also valuable for users who are concerned about accidental damage and outdoor use.

The Unisoc T7250 should be sufficient for normal smartphone activities, but it is not the reason to buy this phone. Similarly, the 50MP camera is useful for everyday photography but does not turn the Power 80 into a camera-focused smartphone.

The main compromise is the 18W charging speed. A 7,000mAh battery is excellent for endurance, but charging such a large battery at 18W can take longer than users might expect. The HD+ display resolution is another area where some users may want more, although the 120Hz refresh rate helps make the viewing experience feel smoother.

Final Verdict

The Itel Power 80 is a budget smartphone that puts battery endurance, durability, and everyday usability ahead of flagship-level performance. Its 7,000mAh battery, 120Hz 6.78-inch display, 50MP camera, Android 16 software, and IP68/IP69 protection give it a distinctive position in the budget market.

For users who frequently travel, spend time outdoors, consume a lot of content, or simply want a phone that can last a long time between charges, the Power 80 offers a compelling feature set. On the other hand, users who prioritize gaming performance, advanced photography, or very fast charging may find its entry-level chipset, basic camera setup, and 18W charging less appealing.

At an official Bangladesh price of ৳18,490 for the 6GB+128GB model, the Itel Power 80 positions itself as a practical, rugged, battery-focused smartphone for everyday users.
