OPPO F35 Pro 5G Full Review & Our Opinion
The OPPO F35 Pro 5G is a newly launched premium mid-range smartphone from OPPO, designed around a combination of long battery life, smooth display performance, capable cameras, and enhanced durability. The phone brings several notable upgrades to the F-series, including a 144Hz AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 7360 MAX processor, 8000mAh battery, 80W SUPERVOOC charging, and a 50MP ultra-wide front camera.
OPPO has launched the Oppo F35 Pro 5G in India with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage options. The phone is available in Sunrise Orange, Wave Blue, and Twilight Brown finishes. At launch, the Indian price starts at ₹45,999 for the 6GB+128GB variant, while the 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB versions are priced at ₹49,999 and ₹54,999 respectively. The official Bangladesh price has not been announced by OPPO yet.
Design & Display
The OPPO F35 Pro 5G has a modern design that gives the phone a premium appearance despite its large battery. It measures approximately 162.6 × 77.6 × 8.4mm and weighs around 210 grams. OPPO has used a distinctive rear design with a dedicated camera module and three color choices: Sunrise Orange, Wave Blue, and Twilight Brown.
The front of the phone features a 17.22cm flexible AMOLED display with a 2772 × 1272-pixel resolution. The panel can dynamically operate at 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz, while the maximum refresh rate reaches 144Hz. With a 450ppi pixel density, 10-bit color depth, and 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, the display is designed to deliver detailed and vibrant visuals. OPPO lists typical brightness at 800 nits and HBM brightness at 1,800 nits, while its promotional material lists a higher peak brightness figure under specific testing conditions.
The high refresh rate should make scrolling, animations, supported games, and everyday navigation feel noticeably smoother. The display also supports up to 240Hz touch sampling in normal use, with a much higher instantaneous touch sampling figure specified by OPPO for certain scenarios.
Performance
Powering the OPPO F35 Pro 5G is the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 MAX chipset. It is an 8-core processor built using a 4nm manufacturing process and paired with an Arm Mali-G615 GPU. This hardware is aimed at delivering a balanced combination of everyday performance, multitasking capability, gaming performance, and power efficiency.
The smartphone comes with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. Buyers can choose between 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, and 8GB+256GB configurations. There is no microSD card slot, so users who store a large amount of photos, videos, games, and applications should consider the 256GB version.
OPPO has also focused on thermal management and long-term smoothness. The Dimensity 7360 MAX should be capable of handling social media, streaming, multitasking, photography, and demanding applications without difficulty. For users who want a balanced mid-range phone rather than a flagship gaming device, the performance package looks well matched to the F35 Pro’s overall positioning.
Camera
The camera system is one of the most important features of the OPPO F35 Pro 5G. On the rear, the phone has a 50MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 116-degree field of view. The combination provides both a stabilized main camera for everyday photography and a wider perspective for landscapes, architecture, and group shots.
The 50MP main camera is particularly useful in situations where keeping the camera steady matters. Its OIS support can help reduce the effect of hand movement and improve stability when shooting in lower-light conditions or recording handheld video.
Video recording is also strong for this segment. The rear camera can record 4K video at 30fps, while electronic and optical stabilization are supported in compatible recording modes. Slow-motion recording is available at up to 240fps at 720p.
On the front, OPPO has included a 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera with a 100-degree field of view, f/2.0 aperture, and autofocus. This is one of the phone’s standout features because the wider field of view makes it easier to include several people in a single selfie. The front camera can also record 4K video at 30fps, making the F35 Pro an appealing option for users who frequently take selfies, group photos, or create social-media content.
Battery & Charging
Battery endurance is arguably the biggest strength of the OPPO F35 Pro 5G. The smartphone comes with a huge 8000mAh battery, with OPPO listing a typical capacity of 8000mAh and a rated capacity of 7780mAh. This is significantly larger than the batteries found in many conventional mid-range smartphones.
The large battery is paired with 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging. OPPO says the battery is designed for long-term durability and reports laboratory testing showing at least 80% remaining battery health after a simulated six years of use. Actual battery longevity can vary depending on charging habits, temperature, software, and daily usage.
OPPO also claims up to 2.95 days of battery endurance under its own testing conditions. In practical use, the large battery should make the F35 Pro particularly attractive to people who spend long hours browsing, watching videos, using social media, navigating, or gaming without wanting to recharge frequently.
Software Experience
The OPPO F35 Pro 5G runs ColorOS 16.5. The software is built around OPPO’s modern interface and includes features aimed at improving system smoothness, productivity, and everyday usability. The phone also benefits from OPPO’s focus on long-term software smoothness through its system optimization technologies.
The combination of ColorOS, a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display, and the Dimensity 7360 MAX should provide a smooth experience for normal daily tasks. Users can expect the usual smartphone essentials such as app multitasking, social media, video streaming, photography, and 5G connectivity to be handled comfortably.
The phone supports dual Nano-SIM connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS. It also includes an under-display fingerprint sensor and face recognition. One notable omission is NFC, which OPPO lists as unsupported on the official specification page.
Durability & Extra Features
Durability is another area where OPPO has given the F35 Pro 5G considerable attention. The company promotes a 360-degree Armour Body designed to improve protection against everyday drops and impacts. The phone also carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K protection ratings under specified testing conditions, making water and dust resistance one of its key selling points.
The phone also features Rainstorm Touch technology, which is designed to improve touchscreen usability when the display is wet. This can be useful for people who regularly use their phones outdoors or in rainy conditions. However, water resistance should not be treated as a guarantee against all types of liquid damage, and the manufacturer’s conditions should always be followed.
The F35 Pro also comes with an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, infrared remote control functionality, USB OTG support, and a USB Type-C port. OPPO includes a charger and protective case in the box, although in-box contents can vary by market.
Our Opinion
The OPPO F35 Pro 5G is an interesting addition to the F-series because it does not rely on just one specification to attract buyers. Instead, OPPO has combined several practical features into a single package.
The 8000mAh battery is the biggest highlight, especially when paired with 80W charging. The 144Hz AMOLED display is another major advantage, offering high resolution, a high refresh rate, and wide color coverage. The 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera also gives the phone a clear identity, particularly for users who regularly take group selfies or create social-media content.
Performance from the Dimensity 7360 MAX should be sufficient for most everyday users and moderate gaming. The 50MP OIS main camera and 8MP ultra-wide camera also provide a useful rear-camera combination rather than focusing only on megapixel numbers.
There are a few compromises. The phone does not support microSD expansion, and NFC is officially unsupported. At around 210 grams, it is also not a lightweight smartphone, although that is understandable considering the very large battery.
Overall, the Oppo F35 Pro makes the most sense for users who prioritize battery life, display quality, selfies, durability, and a balanced overall experience rather than chasing maximum flagship-level performance.
Final Verdict
The OPPO F35 Pro 5G is a strong premium mid-range smartphone with a distinctive combination of features. Its 144Hz AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 7360 MAX processor, 50MP OIS main camera, 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera, 8000mAh battery, and 80W SUPERVOOC charging make it a well-rounded device for everyday users.
Its durability credentials are also impressive, with OPPO highlighting IP69K protection and a 360-degree Armour Body. At the same time, the lack of NFC and microSD expansion may matter to some buyers.
For users who want a phone with excellent battery endurance, a smooth AMOLED display, capable cameras, strong selfie performance, and enhanced durability, the OPPO F35 Pro 5G is a compelling option in its class.
Overall, the OPPO F35 Pro 5G stands out as a battery-focused and feature-rich smartphone that balances performance, photography, display quality, and durability without trying to be a flagship replacement.
