Realme Neo8 highlights
Realme has released the Realme Neo8 in China, increasing its gaming-focused Neo series and succeeding the Neo 7, which debuted in 2024. The new model is aimed at users that prioritize performance, display smoothness, and battery life, while maintaining competitive price.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 drives performance, replacing the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ seen in the Neo 7. Both processors are almost flagships, thus the difference in everyday performance is likely to be negligible. The upgrade to Snapdragon should primarily improve game compatibility and performance optimization. Realme has added customizable controls for thermal limits, CPU, and GPU, allowing users to prioritize frame rate stability above temperature or energy economy.
