Vivo X200 Ultra seemingly teased to feature Snapdragon 8 Elite chip

Vivo has announced the Vivo X200, X200 Pro Min, and X200 Pro in China. All three phones use the Dimensity 9400 chipset. The portfolio is also likely to include an Ultra model, which might debut in the first half of 2025. The gadget appears to be packed with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.

To recall, the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro had the Dimensity 9300 chipset, while the X100 Ultra had the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU. The corporation is likely to follow the same tactic with the Ultra model. This became clearer when the company stated via its Weibo account that it will release a Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered smartphone in the future. The next Vivo X200 Ultra is believed to include the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.

The rumor mill has been gradually releasing information about the Vivo X200 Ultra, which is slated to launch next year. According to a recent leak from tipster Digital Chat Station, the X200 Ultra will feature a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. It is also expected to provide capabilities for satellite communication.

Unfortunately, nothing else is known about the Vivo X200 Ultra. The device is projected to compete with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, the Oppo Find X8 Ultra, and the Xiaomi 15 Ultra in the Chinese market. The X200 Ultra is estimated to cost roughly 5,500 Yuan (~$770) in China. While the X100 and X100 Pro were available worldwide, the X100 Ultra was limited to the Chinese market. As a result, it remains unclear whether the X200 Ultra will be sold in the global market.
