Samsung’s Galaxy A56 has been revealed in CAD-based renders today. As you can see in the photographs below, the gadget is immediately recognizable as a Samsung, which is not surprising, but there is something notably new about its design for the A5x series: the camera island.
We no longer have discrete mini-islands for each camera on the rear glass; instead, these are housed in a larger black oval-shaped island. That’s essentially the only significant change here in terms of design, unless you consider the bottom bezel, which appears to be somewhat thinner – but keep in mind that these are CAD-based images, so they may not be completely correct for such things.
If the speculations about the Galaxy S25 series are correct, it appears that the Korean business may aim to finally differentiate its lower-end and mid-range smartphones from its high-end phones by giving the former a single camera island and the latter individual mini-islands.
The Galaxy A56 will include a superior selfie camera, 45W wired charging, and the Exynos 1580 SoC at its core. The Galaxy A55 was released in this year, therefore we wouldn’t be surprised if the A56 becomes official in March 2025. We’ll let you know as we learn more about it.
